Sinusitis
A condition where the tissue lining the sinuses becomes swollen or inflamed, usually due to an infection, allergies or a cold. This inflammation blocks the normal flow of mucus, causing it to build up and create pressure in the face. People with sinusitis often feel pain or heaviness around the forehead, eyes & cheeks, along with symptoms like a blocked or runny nose & headache. Sinusitis can be short-term or last longer. With proper treatment, most cases can be effectively managed to relieve discomfort & restore normal breathing.
