Critical Care
Critical care, also called intensive care, is a special type of medical care that is given to people who are very sick or have serious health problems. These patients are usually treated in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit), where they are observed closely all the time. They may need special machines and treatments to help them breathe, fight infections or support organs like the heart or kidneys. The main aim of critical care is to keep the patient stable, treat serious problems and also help them get better with the right medical support.
